I turned 70 years and wanted a party.  Where would I find songs I loved and have them played at my party venue?  My small vinyl record collection stored in the under-stairs cupboard cannot be played because technological advances have made previous systems redundant, and now all my songs, family photos on slides, VHS tape videos, floppy discs, film, is all unavailable to me.

I spoke to the most understanding, obliging, patient DJ named Andor van Vugt, who encouraged me to aim at putting together a playlist that reflected my taste in music, and to achieve that he then spent time playing from his ipad, tunes that I named.  Often, the song has several artists who perform it.  I cannot name artists and their songs.  On hearing “my” tune from Andor’s ipad, I instantly recognized it as the one I wanted, so he added it to my Play List.

My home work was to search on Google using the key words “1960s Hits”, “1960s Swing Hits”, “Classic Hits of the last 20 years”, “Billboard” and the like, in order to compile a list of song titles.  Andor then searched and played the tune to me. Only the first few bars of music were necessary, I said “That’s it”, and we were on to the next song title to go on my Play List.

My venue held no more that 55 people seated at a table comfortably, so a DJ and his powerful speakers cold have destroyed any opportunity for my guests to talk, by blasting my guests with high volume music.  That did not happen.  Instead, he played it as background sound, and “my” wonderful songs had fingers tapping everywhere, while conversation buzzed unimpeded.

Dinner finished and then the dancing started.  And of course, with the volume turned up, we boogied down and fun flowed.

Setup and removal of equipment was seamless and required little input or assistance from me.  All together a very professional concern.

Andor was the DJ @ our wedding, the weather was absolutely terrible!  but Andor took all of this in his stride and made his work appear easy.

He dealt with whatever was thrown at him and we could not have asked for a more professional and dedicated service!!

Andor was absolutely brilliant at our wedding at Landsendt on 23 Feb 2013. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very professional. He took all of the stress out of setting up for speeches and having music for dinner and dancing, and trust us this is a huge plus! From the first dance until the venue closed the dance floor was packed and everyone had a blast! We cannot recommend Andor highly enough as a DJ for your wedding!
